Working as a yoga instructor has caused me to see this exercise in a new light. I was always aware of how beneficial yoga can be for others, but I have been able to see my students benefit with my own eyes. There are so many mental and physical benefits of yoga, from a clear mind to muscle strength and body toning.
However, I also know that it is not always easy for students to get to their yoga classes. In addition to current events, they still have to worry about their own busy schedule. This is why I encourage students to take online yoga classes through a platform known as Glo.
Glo was founded back in 2007 by Derik and Ryan Mills of Santa Monica, California. Their manifesto and mission is to create a world that allows others to connect and heal through self-care. They are dedicated to making yoga and meditation accessible to everyone regardless of their schedule or location. You can take your classes on any compatible device, such as your smartphone, tablet and laptop.
If you really want to enjoy the physical benefits of yoga, I would suggest taking online yoga conditioning classes through Glo. The following classes promote muscle strength and body toning through yoga and fitness.
Core-Defining Flow
Core-Defining Flow is a 30-minute level one and two class with an intensity level of two, so you have the opportunity to exercise your body without jumping right into the higher levels. The class targets your lower back and abdominal area through traditional poses paired with challenging movements. It starts with exercises that warm up your transverse abdominal muscles, and then the session moves onto core-activating exercises that leave your body feeling strong. After a powerful lift in tolasana, you can end your session with a savasana.
Full Body Revival
Full Body Revival is a 30-minute level two online yoga class with an intensity level of four, which is ideal for students with more experience. The class features yoga conditioning exercises that target your major muscles, including your arms, quads, glutes and core. Your exercises cause you to move up, down and around your yoga mat, which I would recommending using for this class.
A Little HIIT Never Hurt
A Little HIIT Never Hurt is another 30-minute level two class with an intensity level of four. The class combines High Intensity Interval Training and Vinyasa Flow to create a powerful class that strengthens your muscles and tones your body. You are going to start with three rounds of HIIT before starting on your final vinyasa sequence. The class also includes rocks squats, burpees, lunge kicks and mountain climbers. Finish your session with a savasana and lion’s breath, which is essential for relaxing after an intense yoga conditioning session.
Wicked Strong Core
If you are ready to take your yoga conditioning to the next level, check out the Wicked Strong Core online yoga class. It is a level two and three class with an intensity level of three. The class only lasts for 10 minutes, but you are going to work and strengthen your core in that short amount of time. It starts with a warm-up of reverse sit-ups, continues with a plank and forearm plank and ends with a boat pose with a block prop.
Try A Free 15-Day Trial
Another reason I encourage students to try Glo is the free 15-day trial. The trial allows you to experience the benefits of online yoga and meditation before you sign up for a monthly membership of $18.
When a busy schedule keeps my students from attending a yoga class, I always recommend taking online yoga conditioning through Glo. As a student, you can strengthen your muscles and tone your body in a location that works for you.
